THE CHALLENGE

LAUNCHING A LABEL IS COMPLEX AND RISKY.

Having a great idea and creating an awesome product is not enough...

Launching a new label is complex and risky. Suppose you have an amazing product and you are just like us convinced that many consumers are looking for affordable quality products with personality. No mass production but labels with a story. How do you bring yoru products to this audience? The step towards traditional retailers is often too big and simply not unrealistic because of the financial hurdles (company size, inventory risk, minimal quantities, track record, …) and commercial conditions (excessive margins). Many upcoming labels start with a webshop, but the ones that can make a profit from selling only online are very rare. Next to this running a webshop is time intensive. A popular idea is a pop up store. Running a pop up store is however something different than developing products and commercializing them. Next to this a pop up requires a minimal product range and a relative high investment.

Rent store space at premium shopping locations in an affordable, risk free way. We take care of selling your products from A to Z.

The concept? Provide a physical sales platform to new and / or relatively unknown labels without having to be present and thus devote their time to their creative explores. SCOOP store is not a pop-up. On the contrary. Even though the brands and products will change regularly, the store itself remains. It’s the dreamed platform for young designers and new brands that often do not have the resources themselves to open a point of sale. SCOOP store offers a creative answer to this by offering retail as a service: rent space, organization and staff at premium shopping locations. You provide the products and determine the price and we sell it. So, as a starting label you’ll rent a m² shelving for an affordable fixed monthly fee and a minimal commission. We use this commission for staff stimulation, packaging materials, etc. Our stores are located in premium shopping locations. In June 2014 we opened a first store in the trendy Kloosterstraat in Antwerp, one year later a second one at the Bruul in Mechelen and in 2016 we opened one in Maastricht. In the future, we will also open stores in other cities. In this way, labels can reach a wider audience and gradually grow together with us.

A store allows to create a brand experience that is simply not achieveable on line. Next to a selling platform we are foremost a branding channel.

BRAND AMBASSADOR

We are much more than just a sales platform. Brand awareness and visibility are very important for emerging brands and we like to bring the story behind the labe both online and in the store. We consider ourselves as ambassador for your label to the wider audience.

PUBLIC RELATIONS

PR is very important for upcoming labels but is at the same time very expensive. In addition to our own social media, SCOOP can build upon a network of media, influencers and bloggers, proactively positioning newcomers.

SHOPPER FEEDBACK

We want to grow brands. If they grow, we grow.  The best way is to give immediate feedback from consumers to the labels so they can learn and adopt. This feedback comes from our store crew, stylists and bloggers. Who buys your products and why? What is consumer response to your products?

Interested? Starting at SCOOP store is very easy. Contact us by email and indicate what products you offer (if you have a website, please provide the link). We will look if the products are complementary to our existing portfolio. We are looking for nice, original and affordable products. If your product is very similar to that of a label we already offer then you will need to be patient. We strive for complementary labels and not substitutes. You do not need to have a high academic degree or international prizes, but the products should of course have a qualitative finish. As a next step, we make an appointment (in SCOOP store or by phone). Hereby we listen to your story and explain how we work and what we can do for you. We also make a financial proposal that immediately tells you what you are looking for. From the confirmation of the contract and receipt of the products, you can usually sell your products as of the start of the following month. No rocket science, right?
