Lottie Vandorpe began customizing her clothes at a young age after being taught to sew by her grandmother. She has also been influenced by her grandfather’s employment in textile manufacturing. After studying art history & archaeology along with oriental languages & linguistics at the University of Gent she enrolled in the Assyriological department. During her many postings abroad she enrolled in several short fashion design courses in renowned institutes such as Central Saint Martins in London and subsequently decided to pursue fashion design as a career.She enjoys art history, ancient languages, a nice bouquet of flowers and anything that deals with the Jazz Age and Old Hollywood. She is inspired by Madeleine Vionnet, Azzedine Alaiä and Edith Head.
